Event Details
Richard Danley is a student at Southern Illinois University researching astrophysics and heliophysics. They are currently involved in research with SIU’s SolarSTEAM program and the Dynamic Eclipse Broadcast (DEB) Initiative. For the upcoming eclipse on April 8th, they will be broadcasting the eclipse in coordination with NASA EDGE and WSIU.
In this virtual talk, Richard will be discussing the goals of the projects they are working on, the upcoming eclipse and its importance, safe ways of viewing Sun, where to go to see totality, and past and future eclipses. Questions will be open to attendees both during and after the talk.
Solar eclipse glasses and safety information will be available for attendees. Registration not required but space is limited.
